I've been stuck on the same (but definiatley good) chocolate chip cookie recipe. I've almost perfected the Mrs. Fields one, but I hate that it makes SO much! I've tried cutting it in half before, but it doesn't quite taste the same for some reason. Then I happened upon this recipe and it's my new fav! It makes just over 4 dozen with the small (I think) pampered chef cookie scoop.
Here's the recipe:
1 cup butter (softened)
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Tbls. vanilla
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
3 cups flour
1 package Ghirarrdeli Milk Chocolate Chips
1/2 bag Ghirarrdeli Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Then add dry ingredients. Mix in chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 11 minutes. Cookies might not look done but take them out anyways. Let them sit on pan for a few minutes before placing on cooling rack.
FYI: I cooked mine for 8-9 minutes and they were perfect. I think 11 minutes would be too long... but it all depends on your oven. I suggest you cook them for a shorter time first then see if it needs more time or not. Also, the first time I made these, I used the Ghirradeli chips, but this time I used regular off brand ones and they are
ENJOY!!!

They look yummy! Makes my mouth water.
I have this same exact recipe...don't know where I got if from, but I know the butter brand and choc. chips make all the difference. I use Blue Bonnet sticks with my recipes and I love the ghiradelli chocolate. Trader Joe has chocolate that is also really good too. Love your blog by the way!
I just have to say- I love cooking but am a horrible baker. I had all but given up cookies. Seriously. I made these for my husband's Fantasy Football draft (yes) and got compliments and I LOVED them. My MIL asked me for the recipe even. Woo Hoo. THANK YOU!!!
Thanks for posting this recipe, these are so yummy! I have also made this my new fav choco chip recipe!
Love your blog, I just discovered it. I just noticed that you hated how your old batch makes too many. I just wanted to share a tipe I do at home. I love to freeze my extra cookie dough balls, and keep them in a freezer bag. Then when we are in the mood for cookies, I pull them out, lay on the cookie sheet while the oven preheats and bake as normal. Sure saves on the mess. Love the blog.
Ok so the cookies are in the oven right now...I am hoping, pleading and begging with my oven that this batch works out. It seems as though I am blessed with the innability to bake! Thanks for the great recipe!
